The Department of Homeland Security is now accepting flood damage reports from Indy homeowners who sustained damage caused by flooding last week. The goal is to preliminarily assess damage to determine if federal assistance can be pursued. If you had damage and want to report it, here is the link: https://myoracle.in.gov/hs/damage/ia-public.do?method=active&incidentId=IA20131227075303.
The short form will ask for identify information as well as an explanation for the damage that you received to your home and/or personal property. Losses can include structural damage to homes and loss of personal property.
If you or someone you know needs to report damage but do not have access to the internet, residents can also contact their county emergency management agency to report the damage.
Keep in mind, this is not an application for a grant or any type of direct financial assistance, but rather a report of your damage so that the Department of Homeland Security can determine if disaster relief is appropriate.
If you are still in need cleanup or looking for information on preventative measures, contact ReNew Services Group for a damage assessment or waterproofing estimate.
